Four years ago I spent the day in Rocky Mountain National Park, near Estes Park, Colorado, and when I left the temperature was 45 degrees. By contrast, it’s supposed to be 95 degrees in Boulder today.
I went for a walk this morning to clear my mind. There’s still some snow here.
This photo from January 12, 2012 of the Rocky Mountains behind Boulder, Colorado made me feel like I was living on the Moon.
Here’s a great view of the Rocky Mountains and part of Boulder, Colorado, from my apartment on December 21, 2013.
(As a not-too-subtle plug for my book, that great view was paid for by my consulting career.)

I woke up at 3:21 this morning, looked around, and thought, “Why is the apartment so bright?” Then I turned and saw the pre-Supermoon rising over the Rockies. Please enjoy my fancy iPhone photography skills. :)
I noticed on a recent drive that there’s still a little bit of snow up in the Rocky Mountains here in the Boulder, Colorado area, as of July 2, 2016. We had a long, cool spring, and if I remember right, there was a lot of moisture up in the mountains during the late winter and spring.
Here’s the view from the apartment here in downtown Colorado after we had 5-10” of snow over the last two days. The view of the mountains is my favorite part (though I had a much better view in my last apartment).

It was a dark and stormy night ... well, windy, anyway.
