This is Why We Still Sing the Blues

A friend of a friend has created a documentary titled "This Is Why We Still Sing The Blues", and with my own interest in the Blues (I'm listening to them now), I thought I'd share a few banners leading to his website. Here's the first one:

This Is Why We Still Sing the Blues - A film by Lee Gordon

Somewhere in the history of my life I came to love Blues music, probably because my love of great BBQ led me to all sorts of places that played the Blues.

This Is Why We Still Sing The Blues - Documentary Synopsis

Here's an abridged version of the synopsis of the documentary from the This Is Why We Still Sing The Blues website:

"Many famous bluesmen died penniless. The companies that produced their music made millions. More are out there and this documentary intends to help. Should the exploitation of these men and women be just a footnote in history? From director Lee Gordon comes this shocking expose about abuse and oppression in the blues world that still exists today."

The documentary is the winner of the 2010 FuelFilm: Memphis "Show Me The Money" Film Pitch Competition. Here's one more link to the website and movie trailer:
