ibibo steals devdaily content

Wow, you'd think a large website like ibibo.com would have enough people to write their own content, but recently I learned that they've been copying and pasting devdaily.com content onto their website. (And I really do mean copying and pasting.)

If you perform the following Google search:

"Most people who are watching TV are semi-catatonic"

I just read that a judge rejected AT&T's request to pull Verizon's ads off the airwaves. The judge said the ads might be sneaky, but they're not misleading.

Even funnier to me, the judge offered this quote:

"Most people who are watching TV are semi-catatonic"

Champion Farms apartments - police crime reports and criminal activity

Wow, I had no idea how much crime and criminal activity there is in the Champion Farms apartments neighborhood! By my count there are over 30 criminal police reports near Champion Farms from November 8th through November 17th, 2009. (Nobody mentioned that when I moved in.)

More Champion Farms crime information

Just a few days ago I wrote about my concerns about crime at Champion Farms (an apartment complex in Louisville, Kentucky), and then last night someone did a hit and run job on my car. I just came back from the auto body repair shop, and they said it will cost more than $800 to fix my car, plus a car rental. Of course the 'neighbor' who hit my car didn't bother to knock on my door or leave me a note.

Man, this neighborhood pisses me off.

Champion Farms crime wave?

There seems to be a crime wave at Champion Farms, the apartment complex where I currently live in Louisville, Kentucky (and where I'm anxiously ready to move away from), and I'm very concerned about the safety and security here.

Last Thursday night when I came home police cars were all over the Champion Farms parking lot. I didn't stop to talk to any of them; I just went straight to my apartment and locked the doors.

Still on vacation

I've been on vacation recently, and I'll be back to work Tuesday morning. I know I'm way behind on responding to your comments, but I promise I'll get to all of them as soon as possible. WiFi access here has been hit or miss, and I finally decided to give up until I get back.

Apple increasing capital expenditures by 70% to $1.9B in 2010

For the most part I try to avoid the rumor game when it comes to Apple, but when I read on All Things Digital that Apple is planning to increase their capital expenditures by 70% to $1.9 Billion in 2010, well, that's a little more than a rumor.

Latest tablet rumors (and comments)

I'm finally catching up on the latest tablet hype. Here's a link to the Microsoft Courier video on the Gizmodo tablet device, and a second link to the Apple tablet device that Gizmodo says is going to "redefine newspapers, textbooks, and magazines."

A bad Toyota RAV4 quality experience

Okay, sorry for this rant, but I have had a very bad experience with Toyota regarding my 2006 Toyota RAV4, and I'm upset about it.

My rant is short: The RAV4 I currently own was my first Toyota purchase, the overall experience has been very poor, and I've just spent three days trying to get this latest RAV4 problem resolved. Toyota acknowledges this problem is a design flaw, but now it turns out that Toyota's "customer care" people don't actually care.

Netflix awards $1M prize

Netflix (finally) awarded a $1M prize to a seven-member group that has been able to improve the Netflix movie recommendation system by at least 10%.

The AP reports that the Netflix contest began in October of 2006, and there were over 51,000 contestants. The competition was apparently very close, with two teams (Ensemble and BellKor) in an apparent dead-heat.
