A bad day working from home

Generally speaking, working from home is a good thing. But today has been one of the bad days. It goes like this:

You get up early, go to work at a McDonald's, and a loud old lady keeps coughing or clearing her throat every 90-120 seconds. She also stays there forever, slowly reading the newspaper.

So you come back to the apartment, and just as you start working, the carpet-cleaning guy fires up the van just outside your window (and you know from experience it's going to run for ninety minutes). On days like this, working in an office doesn't sound so bad.

Peter Gabriel's Blood of Eden (live)

Peter Gabriel's "Us" album was a life-changer for me. Here's Blood of Eden, originally from that album, performed with Paula Cole (and others):

Zen - Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.

Zen Wisdom - "Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional."

This reminds me of the quote, "In enlightenment, death has no relevance to one's state of being."

Haha, Phil Jackson's first garbled tweet was no accident:

If the doors of perception were cleansed ... (William Blake)

“If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite.”
