This directory contains files that describe print requests submitted to the print service. This information is less-secure than the information contained in the requests directory.
Files remain in this directory only as long as the print request is in the queue. Once the job is finished, the information is combined with the job information contained in the /usr/spool/lp/requests directory, and appended to the /usr/spool/lp/logs/requests log file. Sample contents from a file named /usr/spool/lp/temp/150-0 are shown below:
