I don’t remember exactly where I saw this painting, but I know it was somewhere in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Probably inside a large hotel I can’t remember the name of at the moment.

I’ve become a fan of Mike Barr’s paintings recently. This one is called Autumn Rain, but I actually like his darker, evening paintings even more.
It’s been raining in the Boulder, Colorado area for about a week, maybe longer. This is a view of the Boulder Creek, which is currently kept from flooding by sandbags. I just read that Colorado Springs had eight inches of hail. Image from the Denver Post.
This photo doesn’t quite do justice to it, but during a walk the other day I noticed something that looked like a rainbow, but there was no rain in sight. The skies were very clear except for a few scattered clouds.
