I was really hoping TotalSpaces2 would succeed in bringing the 2D grid back to the Spaces feature on Mac OS X, but unfortunately at least one major bug is keeping that from being a reality for me. It crashed a few times during the initial setup and config, which I could live with, but I later learned that it was causing my windows to jump around when I tried to re-size them. That bug kept me from making the windows the size I wanted, and from putting the windows in the position I wanted, which is a non-starter for me. Everything else about it worked well, and I was willing to pay $18 for it, until then.
