- When you download the Apache software for SCO Open Server 5 from SCO, it comes as a custom package named apache-1.3.0-VOLS.tar. (this is the current version as of this writing on August, 1998). This simply means that the software can be installed using SCO's custom command.
- The initial installation will require about two megabytes of disk space.
- The software will be installed in a directory named /usr/local/lib/apache.
