This directory contains files that describe print requests submitted to the print service. Sensitive information regarding the print request is put in this directory, where it is kept secure.
Files remain in this directory only as long as the print request is in the queue. Once the job is finished, the information is combined with the job information contained in the /usr/spool/lp/temp directory, and appended to the /usr/spool/lp/logs/requests log file.
