When you  access the [Admin Panel], the right frame displays a set of stats about your running board:

This box keeps you informed about updates in JForum, so you don't need to worry about manuall checking for fixes and news. If there is a new version available, a %%(color:red;)red message%% will be shown. Otherwise, a %%(color:green;)green OK message%% will appear.
