This is a view in Rocky Mountain National Park, on January 3, 2018. Sister #2 and mom was here, and we went into the park.

If you know where to look, you too can find this 12,005’ altitude sign in Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP), in the Estes Park, Colorado area.
Unfortunately this image (and accompanying video) are blurry — I didn’t want to get too close to them — but here are two moose in Rocky Mountain National Park, July 31, 2019.
This is a photo I took of the entrance to El Sanctuario de Chimayo in New Mexico. My notes say that the church was opened in 1816.
As I continue to work through photos, this is a photo of a painting of a church, which I believe I saw in the lobby of the La Fonda hotel in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
This is the church for the children (el ninos) next to El Sanctuario de Chimayo, just north of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Brief conversation with a Starbucks barista in whatever town I was just in:
“A grande coffee, please.”
“Room for cream?”
“Yes, an inch please.”
“I won’t be offended if it’s more than that. I won’t drink it all.”
“Okay. Anything else?”
“I haven’t had caffeine in several months, so that should be more than enough.”
“Did you know that some people get sleepy when they have caffeine? I thought that was interesting.”
She leans in and whispers, “Don’t tell anyone, but honestly, I only like to drink coffee on the weekends, and then have deep conversations with friends.”
I lean in and quietly reply, “I like your style.”

Started the drive back to Colorado at 5:50am EST Tuesday in Kentucky. Waited out the morning’s nasty snowstorm with some old-timers and truckers at a McD’s in Georgetown, Indiana.
Got tired of waiting, so when the snow let up a little I got back in the car. Maneuvered through snow-and-ice induced wrecks between Corydon and Evansville. Wanted to kiss the ground when it finally got dry after 11am. Drove through the sunset in Kansas, then followed the truckers, the Moon, and stars across the rest of Kansas and Colorado, arrived home at 12:20am MST Wednesday. Looking forward to seeing if the mountains are white whenever I wake up.
The Moon, heading for the back side of the mountains on the morning of December 3, 2020.
This photo from January 12, 2012 of the Rocky Mountains behind Boulder, Colorado made me feel like I was living on the Moon.
What the sky will look like when people travel back and forth to the Moon. :)
Back on November 11, 2015, we had our first snowfall, and I took this photo of my neighbor’s horses.
I didn’t know that Longmont, Colorado had a newspaper, but it looks like there is one called Times-Call.
A few days ago I was driving back from the hospital and took a series of photos of the Moon over the Rocky Mountains from this rural area of Erie and Longmont, Colorado. This is the first photo.
If you’re interested in what Colorado looks like, this is a photo from the Erie, Colorado area on November 3, 2020.
Somewhere in the Erie/Longmont area yesterday (November 2, 2020), I caught this photo of a hawk flying along a farm, with the Rocky Mountains in the background. As you can see, the sky was perfectly clear yesterday, which is a nice change after all of the fires this summer.
If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
Today was a bit of a sad day, saying goodbye to some people I’ve known for the last nine years. So I’ve been listening to Chasing Cars, sung by Sarah Bettens.
This is a field of prairie dogs in the foreground and mountain ranges in the background, near my new home in Longmont, Colorado.
Last night we had all sorts of beautiful whispy clouds, throughout the Louisville/Lafayette/Erie Colorado area. For those who can see my Facebook stuff, you can see several more photos at this link.
This is part of the mountain view from the Foothills hospital in Boulder, Colorado.
