I don’t know if I’ll keep this going or not, but I was looking for a way to monitor “What’s new in Scala,” so I thought I’d create a “This week in Scala” page. Here’s what’s new the week of January 15-21, 2023:
- Here’s a survey on improving the Sttp client developer experience
- Microsoft released Scala bindings for PyTorch
- Seth Tisue announced Jardiff, a tool for diffing the bytecode in JARs
- I stumbled onto this ZIO Direct project, which “allows direct style programming with ZIO”
- DevInsideYou has a new video, Is FP Really That Easy to Reason About?
On the personal front:
- I released the paperback version of my book, Learn Scala 3 The Fast Way
- I created a Patreon page for people who want to support my writing
- I released Version 0.03 of my book, Functional Programming Simplified: Updated for Scala 3
