One of the first words I saw this morning was “gravitas.” I thought I knew what it meant, and here’s a definition from the Google search results.

I learned about the Pebble Mine project in Bristol Bay when I lived in Alaska in 2010-2011. This image tells of some of the problems with the mining project, including the need to manage the waste for “hundreds of thousands of years.”

A cool feature of the Scala REPL is that you can reset/clear a REPL session. To do so, just issue the :reset command, like this:

scala> :reset

Forgetting this session history:
