I’m not 100% sure, but this style of writing looks an awful lot like it comes from Daniel Ingram’s book, Mastering The Core Teachings of the Buddha: An Unusually Hardcore Dharma Book. (I posted this on Facebook back in early 2014, so I can’t remember for sure.)

When I first saw this photo I thought, “Those brown spots can’t be Kodiak grizzlies ... or that’s an enormous fish.” Turns out that enormous fish is just one of many whales that have died in the Gulf of Alaska this year in what is termed “an unusual mortality event.” If you read this story on the Alaska Dispatch News, you’ll see that there is a lot of bad news in the Pacific Ocean, from Alaska to California.

Major League Baseball (MLB) is a very interesting game of adjustments. Chicago Cubs rookie phenom Kris Bryant has been going through major growing pains recently, but this image comes from this grantland.com article about Cleveland Indians’ pitcher Corey Kluber, who was having a very rough 2015 season after an excellent 2014 season.

Per this article, the #1 predictor of career success is not necessarily who you know, but how many people you know. (Though I’m sure it doesn’t hurt to be born with a silver spoon in mouth.)
