Photo from @raganwald. Definitely reminds me of the consulting world.

This image is from the longer Ram Dass article titled, Uncooked Seeds. As I get older, I find more wisdom in Ram Dass’ writings.

July 6, 2014. After all the years with the Cubs, this looks really weird.

I’d pretty much like to forget this spring, and in an effort to do so I’m wiping off the boards I usually use as my “appointment calendar.” So without any further introduction, this is how I spent my Spring, 2014.

This photo is one of several from an article titled, The Surreal Work of Erik Johansson. Here’s a link to Mr. Johansson’s website, which shows of many more images.

This is a good line on just thinking about “daily, attainable” goals, especially when you consider that it was spoken by a very talented 22-year old (Kris Bryant, currently of the Iowa Cubs). The clipping comes from this story.

Once I ended the four-plus weeks of a low-iodine diet, I found myself craving pretty much any kind of cheese, but one in particular: The mizithra (myzithra) cheese they use at The Old Spaghetti Factory to make a meal that’s named something like, “Homer’s Brown Butter and Mizithra Cheese” pasta.

I talked to an incredibly knowledgeable man at the Whole Foods store here in Superior/Louisville, Colorado, and he told me mizithra cheese is very expensive and hard to find (as a result of limited supply and increased demand), but that this cheese would be very similar. He was right. I’ve made my own browned butter sauce with some of this cheese, and it’s just as good as the Spaghetti Factory, and much less expensive.

This looks a bit like an old-school “one finger” (or “index finger up”) curveball grip by Chicago Cubs’ pitcher Jake Arrieta, but something about the placement of his fingers makes me think it may be a slider grip instead. (The image comes from espn.com.)

From a friend. I got back from the hospital late and only saw the end of the soccer game against Belgium, but I can see why everyone in the U.S. loves Tim Howard, he single-handedly kept them in that match.

Zen humor. :) It looks like this cartoon comes from speedbump.com.

A few comments from Jake Arrieta after nearly no-hitting Boston yesterday, six days after throwing a no-hitter for 6+ innings. Comments come from this article.
