In what may be my last John Mellencamp post for a while, at his concert Friday evening I learned about his collaboration with Stephen King and T Bone Burnett to create a “supernatural musical” titled Ghost Brothers of Darkland County. He said that he and Stephen King had been working on it for 15 years. (They thought originally it would be easy, but it was not.) The album includes performances by Sheryl Crow, Elvis Costello, Rosanne Cash, Kris Kristofferson, Meg Ryan, and many more. It looks like the tour is over, but it featured Gina Gershon and Billy Burke, among others. There’s a trailer about the movie here on YouTube.
