My mom is in her 80s and has schizophrenia and dementia, and she recently got her second COVID-19 vaccination shot. Unfortunately she doesn’t speak much these days so she can’t tell us how she’s feeling, but so far, so good. FWIW, she got the Moderna vaccine shot.
On a personal note, I can’t imagine having these two illnesses, barely being able to speak, and going to a doctor’s office and trusting people to do something like this to you. I intentionally made this image blurry, but you can still see the look of concern in my mom’s eyes as she looks at one of my sisters, like, “Hey, I’m trusting you...”
