I just ran across this photo of my old apartment. I liked using a shoji screen to add a temporary “wall” in different spaces, and I used to keep Christmas lights going for most of the winter evenings, as shown.
A friend bought me some of these USB-powered Christmas lights, and I like using them in the winter months, especially on days when it’s snowing, like today. They’d also be a nice “under $20” gift for one of those White Elephant Christmas gift exchange parties.
Yesterday we had a three-wire Christmas light string where the first half of the string was working, but the second half of the light string wasn’t working. We couldn’t fix it by replacing the bulb right where the light string stopped working, so I looked into it and found this helpful (but a little too technical) article.
