I finally got the new search engine running. It's not Lucene, but it works just fine. You can now search the blog at this URL.
The wunderground.com web site works much better for me than the Weather Channel, or even local weather stations. Their pages load fast, and of course their accuracy is just about as good as anyone else. Kudos.
