Where is the Android SDK located on macOS? (setting ANDROID_HOME) alvin March 6, 2019 - 8:00pm

If you’re using macOS and need to know where (in what directory) the Android SDK is located, it is currently located here:

~/Library/Android/sdk

The sdkmanager and avdmanager and a few others are located in this directory:

~/Library/Android/sdk/tools/bin

The Android SDK platform tools bin directory is here:

~/Library/Android/sdk/platform-tools

I’m doing some things with Android from the command line tonight and learned that I needed to set ANDROID_HOME, and that’s when I dug into this.

This is a page from my book, “How I Sold My Business: A Personal Diary”

Wednesday, August 10, 2005

I gave my "decision" to sell my business, or at least my portion of the business, a week to settle down, weigh the pros and cons, and also look at the financial aspects of the decision.

Most importantly, financially, I won't be able to retire if I sell the company, even at $12,000 per share. Just buying a nice home in a nice area in my hometown will take $300K or more. So this is clearly not a "Sell and retire" move.

JFrame examples and tutorials (collection)

Today is organization day for me, and in an effort to organize everything I've ever written about a Java JFrame, here is a collection of links to all my Java JFrame examples and tutorials.

Java xeyes - Follow the mouse cursor location outside a JFrame

A Java xeyes solution - I started working on my Java speech recognition app again today, and in the process I saw some source code I thought I should post here. When I was developing this app, I thought it would fun to put a GUI on it, and when I thought about what sort of GUI it should have, I thought of the old X-Windows xeyes app. I looked around to see if anyone had written a "Java xeyes" application, but from what I've seen, nobody has.

Mac Dock size (Dock icon size)

Mac Dock size FAQ: How do I change the Mac Dock size (increase/decrease the Mac Dock size), including the Mac Dock icon size, and how large the Dock icons get when I roll over them?

There are several ways to change the Mac Dock size, but they all involve getting to the Mac Dock Preferences window. The way I normally do it is:

Java - Getting the mouse cursor location (current mouse position)

Java mouse cursor location FAQ: How do I get the location of the mouse (mouse cursor) in Java?

I just ran into this problem in my Java Robot programming, and the short answer is, to get the current mouse cursor location/position, use the getPointerInfo method of the java.awt.MouseInfo class, like this:

Point p = MouseInfo.getPointerInfo().getLocation();
