Teaching a brief OO class yesterday, I'm reminded of several things, including Argo/Poseidon as a free UMLish tool, and GRASP, which springs from Wirfs-Brock responsibility-driven design.
The State of Kentucky today reported a programming error that cost the tax payers $8,500 in postage alone. It seems that a programming error led to the delivery of 25,000 letters stating that taxpayers taxes were overdue, even though they were not. As a taxpayer, may I recommend unit testing?
