About half an hour ago I was a passenger in a car in Poland. I was debating with the driver about what to do, because we had already checked out of our hotel, but we were running late, and we had planned on getting to another country. Because we were so late and things were unfamiliar, I was saying that we should go back to the hotel. I think we were in Krakow and talking about where to go next, but maybe going to Krakow was part of the plan.
In front of us there was a car, and then another vehicle that looked like a dump truck. Suddenly the truck exploded. It was a huge explosion that obliterated the truck. Inside the car, my ears were ringing.
My driver was in shock and kept our car rolling towards the burning truck. I had to yell “Stop!” many times before she stopped. We paused to try to understand if there had been one bomb, or would there be more? Was it a bomb? What happened?
I told her to stay in the car, and I got out. People were running around, and screaming in one or more foreign languages. (Since I didn’t understand, it may have been one language, or multiple.)
I was standing by the passenger side of our car, trying to figure out what to do, and then a woman came running at our car, and was yelling at my driver, but from my passenger side of the car. (This gave me a chance to see that the car was a little sedan. I believe there was also snow on the ground.) I started to tell the woman that we don’t speak Polish, and then I woke up. In bed, my ears were still ringing.
(For my own notes, this happened in a street in some downtown area, with tall buildings on both sides of us. Just in front of us on the right was a tall building, and one of its square pylons was on the corner. So there was that pylon or support beam that went straight up, and then there was a big open area where people could walk or stand under, and then the first floor was a glass area where people could look in. I also think that the road curved to the left slightly at this point, like the way the first street in Virginia Beach curves to the left.)
