devdaily.com is now alvinalexander.com

Way back in late 1998 (think "before Google"), I started devdaily.com in the hope that it would one day grow into a website where authors would offer tips and tutorials for Java, Perl, C, C++, Linux, and any other open source programming language and technology that came along. Then in 1999 I started a company named Mission Data, and I put the dream of devdaily aside.

Flash forward to 2012, and I've long since sold Mission Data. These days I run the Zen Foundation and Valley Programming, I've written two books, and when it comes to this website, I can't think of any reason to keep the devdaily name, other than the nostalgia for myself. Since I'm the only one who writes here, I thought the website should finally have my name.

So here we are, October 5, 2012. Most people will remember this as the one year anniversary of Steve Jobs' passing, but I'll also remember it as the day I retired my old friend, devdaily.com.

Welcome to alvinalexander.com.
