I watched an episode of Northern Exposure recently and at the end of it I was surprised to see that Stuart Margolin directed the episode. I always enjoyed his characters on The Rockford Files and M*A*S*H, and I remembered seeing him on Magnum, P.I., but I didn’t know anything else about his career, including that he was a director. After reading his Wikipedia entry I hope at some point to see the episode of 30 Rock he did with Alan Alda.
In the next month I’m going to have a CT scan, an MRI, radioactive iodine, gamma radiation, more radiation, then more radiation. So it seemed fitting that I should buy The Incredible Hulk tv series DVD set. :)
Back in the day, this series was influential on me, and I was very aware of its influence. After moving out of Chicago we lived in a small town, and this series opened my eyes to the possibility of just wandering around and living a vagabond lifestyle.
When I was young I used to think, “How do I know where I should live? Where’s ‘home’? Maybe I should just wander around until I find a place that feels right.” That may sound unusual — it seems like most people want to settle down in one place — but I feel fortunate to have lived in many towns and many states, and gotten to know people in all of those places.
The tv series Becker was one of my favorites back in the day, and I always wondered why it wasn’t available on DVD. I just looked, and it’s now available at Amazon, just released in 2018.
A favorite episode that helped me snap out of a personal funk was when Becker finally got to be with his long-lost love, a woman he pined for for many years. When he finally had a chance to reunite with her it turned out she was wild and crazy, ran up his credit card bill, then took off. In its own way, that episode helped me get over someone I felt the same way about.
Step 1: Insert a CD or DVD
Assuming that you’re using an external CD/DVD drive, the first step is to connect your drive to your computer, and then insert a CD or DVD. If you insert a movie or music CD and an application automatically starts playing, quit that application.
When I watched the movie Coffee Shop I knew that Laura Vandervoort wasn’t singing the songs in the movie, and I assumed that the artist singing was Norah Jones, but it turns out that was wrong. The actual singer’s name is Mandi Mapes, and the two songs are called “Dance With Me” and “In Your Arms.” Videos for both of the Coffee Shop songs are shown below.

Mac backups and burn folders FAQ: How do I make Mac backups (CD/DVD backups) with Mac burn folders?
Wow, I've become a big fan of Mac OS X burn folders lately. Once I realized how much they simplify the process of making Mac backups I've been completely sold on them. Mac burn folders make the Mac backup process so easy I actually take the time to make them on a regular basis.
