Jesus Christ, The Ten Commandments, and the 2024 Presidential Election

Dear Fellow Christian Voters,

As what I call a True Christian Voter, it REALLY upsets me when politicians and so-called “news” networks distort Jesus’s messages for their own political gain. It obviously drives me crazy, because here I am writing this.

To help un-distort those false words, I’m asking you as a True Christian to base your 2024 votes on the FACTS. Don’t vote based on what politicians SAY, but on WHAT THEY DO.

Put another way, don’t let politicians and pollsters tell you how to vote: Vote based on your own knowledge and faith in the words of Jesus and The Bible.

To that end, today I share The Ten Commandments here as a table along with the names of the two 2024 Presidential political candidates. I was going to fill in these checkboxes, but I think you can fill them out yourself.

True Christian Voter: Vote on what Jesus and The Bible say, and the Facts

The key here is to stick to the FACTS. That is, don’t fill in this table based on what a candidate SAYS, but fill it in based on WHAT THEY HAVE DONE. And to me, it doesn’t get more clear than The Ten Commandments.

To me, this is what a True Christian Voter is: A Christian who votes based on the words of Jesus and The Bible, and compares those words to the ACTIONS of the candidates.

The Ten Commandments and the 2024 Presidential candidates

Given that background, here is a table of The Ten Commandments and the 2024 Presidential candidates:

Commandment Donald Trump Kamala Harris
You shall have no other gods before Me
You shall not make idols
You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy
Honor your father and your mother
You shall not murder
You shall not commit adultery
You shall not steal
You shall not bear false witness
You shall not covet

Note that the Commandments in the first column are abbreviated to fit in that table, but I assume that you know what they are.

Again, when you fill in that table, I only ask that you stick with the KNOWN FACTS about each candidate. Put a “dash” (—) in a table cell where a candidate has not violated the Commandment, and a question mark or other symbol where a candidate has violated a Commandment.

For example, as far as we know, neither candidate has murdered anyone, so you can put a — in both boxes on that row, one for each candidate.

Commandments, not Suggestions

As someone once said, The Ten Commandments are Commandments, not Suggestions. In my mind, politicians can’t violate The Ten Commandments and then have their political friends and pollsters try to say other things about you. You have to live and breathe them, and be a role model for children, and people of all ages, really.

The Ten Commandments and the 2024 Presidential Election

In summary, I’m not trying to sway you to vote for one candidate or the other. If I wanted to do that, I would have filled in that table.

Instead, all I’m saying is that if you are REALLY a True Christian, you will look at factual information about both candidates, and then, based on the words of Jesus and The Bible, vote the way that Jesus — and indeed God — would want you to vote. That’s all.
